### **5% to Liquidity Bootstrapping Pool** Shuffle will be allocating 50 million tokens to a Liquidity Bootstrapping Pool (LBP). This LBP will be used to create the initial liquidity for SHFL on-chain. The USDC raised from the LBP will be used to seed the initial liquidity for the SHFL-USDC Pool, which will be live after the completion of the LBP. The LBP concluded on March 13th, 2024 hosted on Bazaar. 46,849,322.43 SHFL was allocated to the SHFL LP, SHFL distributed in the LBP and Bazaar hosting fees. 3,150,677.57 was returned to the SHFL treasury. ### **10% to Airdrop 1** Airdrop 1 will be given to Shuffle users who played in the first 12 months of launch, with a goal of rewarding those who were early adopters of the platform. This airdrop will undergo a 3 month linear vest (claimable as soon as each token unlocks) beginning in March 2024, with 20% unlocked and available immediately. The total supply of SHFL will be 1,000,000,000 decreasing with each subsequent Buyback and Burn. The initial price of the SHFL token will be $1. The token price will follow along a predetermined price curve, which can be affected by buys and sells in the pool. Anyone can buy or sell SHFL tokens in the LBP at anytime, up until the sale ends or the hardcap of 20 million USDC is achieved. Once the sale is complete, liquidity will be seeded and users will be able to claim their SHFL. All unsold SHFL tokens will be returned to the treasury, to be used for future operations. We brought crypto users onto the best platform in the industry to stake in the lotto. We introduced staking to a whole new crowd of wagerers. Single tickets will allow users to play in any deposit asset on Shuffle. Each ticket sold will add to the prize pool, spurring the parabolic growth seen in traditional lottery products. Lotteries are the most socially acceptable form of wagering in the world. Lotteries are fun, exciting and are ripe for innovation. With this update, the SHFL Lottery keeps building on its lead of being becoming the best lottery in crypto.

## TLDR: * **Dynamic Real Time Prize Pool:** The prize pool will be dynamic and live, meaning that the rewards grow in real time as users buy tickets. * **Single tickets:** Purchase tickets in any deposit currency. These tickets last one draw. * **Powerplay tickets:** Increase your odds by buying a Powerplay ticket. These tickets last one draw. Users are "buying" the powerball number and will only select 5 numbers for a chance to win rather than 5 + 1 Powerball. * **Sharable tickets:** So everyone in chat can see your lucky numbers and biggest wins. * **Simplified Staking:** Staking is heavily simplified and moved to the token dashboard. ## How this impacts SHFL's Token Model The impact of this is twofold. SHFL becomes massively more attractive in terms of utility as the prize pool for the lottery is accelerated by single ticket purchases. Additionally, we grow the lottery from the 10% of our user base who plays and stakes in SHFL to the entire platform. The same player base that wagers more than 2 billion USD each month now can purchase tickets for the best lottery in crypto. The SHFL Lottery has not seen the growth in prize pool size typical with traditional lotteries, lacking the excitement Powerball and Mega Millions. Traditional lotteries go through a period of parabolic growth as prize pools break out of their usual size, which the SHFL Lottery has not yet experienced. With this update to the lottery, we expect to see a massive shift in how the lottery growth is experienced as showcased below.

Single tickets will accelerate prize pool growth.

An unexplored aspect of the lottery with the introduction of single tickets is how single tickets players will “play” the lottery. Most of the sales for the lottery, just like staking and unstaking, will happen within the last day before the lottery draws. This creates a scenario where the true prize pool of the lotto is unknown until the final second, creating an environment where players and stakers don’t know how much can be won that week up until the final moments. ## Whats changing The SHFL Lottery will have a live, dynamic prize pool that updates in real time. Every sale of a single ticket will update in real time, allowing users to feel the excitement as the draw counts down. SHFL staking is being heavily simplified. We are removing the functionality to select your numbers for staked tickets, and keeping that feature for single ticket purchasers only. Your tickets that have been previously selected will not be changed. The ability to cancel an unstake has been removed. In the future, you will be able to instantly unstake your SHFL and we think this is a healthy medium for staking and removing the complexity of pending unstakes. All your activity for SHFL Lottery will be moved to the token dashboard so you can easily manage everything to do with your SHFL tokens. ## How to Play Standard tickets can be purchased with any currency on the platform except SHFL, which can only be staked. Additionally users will have the option of purchasing Powerplay tickets, which cost more, but will allow you to buy the powerball. This option increases your odds of winning the Jackpot by **18x**. Both standard tickets and Powerplay tickets only last one draw, and are not perpetual like SHFL staking. All future updates to the SHFL Lottery, including changes to the odds, number of balls, and number range will be reflected prior to the upcoming draw and will be recorded in [Lottery History](/shuffle-token-shfl/tokenomics/lottery-history). ## What's to come The lottery is a unique opportunity for SHFL as its a completely underserved market in both the online gaming market and crypto. Crypto has approached lottery products and seen them as a way to incentivize saving, such as lossless lotteries like pooltogether. Gaming operators have seen it differently. To them, lotteries are secondary products, with underwhelming prize pools that are not fun to play or win. We believe the SHFL Lottery is a massive improvement on both. As we iterate on the SHFL Lottery with this release, we want to bring the excitement of the SHFL Lottery **onchain** to onboard the next generation of users. ## Onchain SHFL The SHFL Foundation wants to bring the SHFL Lottery onchain. A reoccurring sentiment with crypto native users since the launch of the SHFL Lottery has been:
* “I want to buy and stake SHFL to enter the lottery, but I want to hold my own keys.” * “I want to use SHFL in decentralized finance, just like the rest of my portfolio.” * “Why haven’t you brought this onchain?” We’re exploring taking the SHFL Lottery onchain. We firmly believe a core part of the crypto market that is underserved are lotteries. Pooltogether has led the way in this regard, taking the innovations of DeFi 2.0 and creating a consumer savings product. The onchain SHFL Lottery will be a consumer product that takes the best learnings from centralized offerings and brings it to a whole new class of SHFL stakers and ticket buyers. More details of the onchain SHFL Lottery will come at a future date. # Wager-to-Vest Users are able to reduce airdrop vesting times by continuing to wager on the Shuffle platform. This allows loyal users to have faster access to their allocated tokens, while inactive users unlock tokens at the normal rate over the course of the airdrop period. The Wager-To-Vest program additionally allows for interesting feedback loops to take place. This is an example of this feedback loop for Airdrop 1: 1. Tommy has gambled on [Shuffle.com](http://Shuffle.com) since launch in February of 2023, and has received an airdrop of 100,000 SHFL 2. Tommy's SHFL will linearly vest, with a certain percent unlocked on airdrop release and the remaining unlocked over the following vesting period. 3. With Tommy's initially-unlocked SHFL tokens, he plays on Shuffle, subsequently decreasing the time in which his remaining tokens unlock. 4. That volume contributes to Shuffle’s theoretical revenue, increasing the size of our buyback-and-burn, leading to upward price pressure on the SHFL liquidity pool

As part of this strategy, 2% of the SHFL supply will be allocated to a liquidity mining program. This initiative is designed to significantly enhance the on-chain liquidity of the SHFL pool.\ \ Liquidity mining, a key mechanism in decentralised finance (DeFi), incentivises users to supply liquidity to a token pool by rewarding them with additional tokens. Over a period of 3 years, participants in the SHFL liquidity mining program will receive SHFL tokens as rewards for contributing to the liquidity pool. **What is Liquidity Mining?** Liquidity mining is a process where token holders contribute their assets to a liquidity pool, which then facilitates trading, lending, and borrowing on a platform. In return for providing liquidity, participants are rewarded with additional tokens from the platform. This creates a self-sustaining ecosystem where liquidity is constantly maintained, allowing for smoother transactions and enhanced platform stability. **How It Works** Participants in the liquidity mining program lock up their tokens in a smart contract that powers a decentralised exchange or lending platform. These locked tokens provide the necessary liquidity for other users to trade or borrow - as compensation for locking up their tokens and thus providing liquidity, participants earn rewards in the form of additional SHFL tokens. The rewards are typically distributed proportionally based on the amount of liquidity each participant contributes to the pool. **Benefits for the SHFL Token** 1. **Enhanced Liquidity**: By incentivising token holders to contribute to the liquidity pool, liquidity mining ensures that there is always enough liquidity for SHFL transactions. This reduces slippage and makes it easier for users to buy and sell SHFL without significantly affecting its price. 2. **Increased Adoption**: The promise of earning rewards attracts more participants to the platform, increasing the adoption and circulation of the SHFL token. As more users engage in liquidity mining, the SHFL ecosystem grows stronger and more vibrant. 3. **Price Stability**: With more tokens locked in liquidity pools, the circulating supply of SHFL is effectively reduced, which can help mitigate price volatility. Furthermore, the constant demand for SHFL tokens to participate in liquidity mining can exert upward price pressure, benefiting token holders. 4. **Community Engagement**: Liquidity mining fosters a sense of community and participation among SHFL token holders. This information, along with other relevant updates, will be communicated through all official Shuffle social channels. **Merkl Liqudity Mining** SHFL will use Merkl for our liquidity mining incentives. Merkl is easy to use, allowing users who have already LP'd in the SHFL-USDC Uniswap Pool.

How Merkl Works

Our Merkl pool will be reseeded every friday with updated weights to ensure that SHFL has ample liquidity. Each week **128,205.13 SHFL** will be rewarded to liquidity mining on the most liquid pair. From Merkl's documentation: Precisely speaking, for a given pool with two tokens (A and B), the script looks into the swaps that took place on the pool during the period for which it is ran and computes a reward score for each position according to: * the fees earned by the position during the period, which represent the liquidity of the position used by the pool * the amount of token A held by the position during swaps on the pool compared to the total amount of token A in the pool * the amount of token B held by the position during swaps on the pool compared to the total amount of token B in the pool In our case, token A is SHFL and token B is USDC.

Merkl works like this: To receive rewards listed on Merkl, you can provide liquidity directly to one of the listed pools, or to one of the supported position / liquidity managers. If you are using a liquidity manager, be careful to understand how the liquidity manager rebalances liquidity. Merkl comes with an anti DoS filter which means that positions with less than $20 of liquidity are not eligible for incentives. The main choices you need to make when adding liquidity are: * how tight should the position’s range be * what should the split between the two tokens be For example, a tight range will virtually provide more liquidity and earn more fees and rewards. However, it has more chances to become out-of-range and suffer from impermanent loss. Once you have provided more than $20 of liquidity, no additional steps are required to start receiving your rewards. You will be able to claim them directly from the Merkl page or from any other app which integrates Merkl. In particular, **you will not need to stake your tokens anywhere else**. If you were providing liquidity on a pool (directly on the AMM or through a liquidity position manager) before the incentive was created on Merkl, you will also be eligible to claim your rewards when they are distributed. # Tokenomics SHFL is a utility token that allows users to benefit from wagering and staking on Shuffle.com * **SHFL as a Wager Asset** — SHFL can be used to gamble on the suite of games available on Shuffle, all the way from slots to sports. This creates a differentiated sink for SHFL and gives the most back to users. * **SHFL Burn** — SHFL will be burnt on weekly basis with a portion of our SHFL NGR. SHFL tokens will be permanently burnt, reducing total supply. * **Airdrop & VIP Rewards** — By wagering in SHFL, you increase your allocation in upcoming SHFL Airdrops as well as earn increased VIP Rewards. * **SHFL Lottery** — Users can stake SHFL for the chance to win USDC every week. By having both staking and buyback and burn mechanisms, SHFL now has a completely unique model. The prize pool of the lottery pushes SHFL to be staked in the short term. In the long term, the circulating supply shrinks via the SHFL NGR Burn, creating a unique supply situation where both current float and future float are constrained. This creates a best of both worlds phenomenon for SHFL and pressure on both the short and long tail token supply.

SHFL Tokenomics

# Wager Asset Shuffle.com allows users to play with SHFL tokens received through airdrops as stakes in games, giving the token an immediate application once liquid in the user's wallet. Through wagering with the SHFL token onsite, the user will also facilitate the accelerated vesting of their SHFL tokens remaining from the airdrop and contribute to their total wagered volume, which will in turn help them earn future airdrops. Most importantly, this flywheel effect will increase the aggregate volume wagered on the Shuffle platform itself, which in turn will; * Increase SHFL token redistribution across remaining airdrop campaigns. * Fuel the burn mechanism programmed on Shuffle, effectively reducing the total supply. Below is an example that articulates the benefits of wagering SHFL natively on the platform: 1. Daniel receives 10,000 SHFL in Airdrop 1 after TGE. 2. Daniel wagers with SHFL, playing Blackjack on the platform. 3. Daniel's wager volume contributes to the platform's buyback and burn, reducing the total SHFL supply and helping his tokens vest faster. 4. ## How to Play ### SHFL Staking 1. **Enter the number of tickets** Enter the amount of tickets you want to stake in the lottery, each ticket is 50 SHFL, and the minimum you can stake is 1 ticket. If you don't have SHFL, you have the option of either purchasing it or converting to it onsite. 2. **Stake SHFL** Confirm your staked amount and get locked into the weekly lottery. 3. **Claim your winnings** Come back after each draw conclusion to see if you’ve won! ### Single Tickets 1. **Choose your ticket type** Choose between a standard and boosted ticket. 2. **Enter the number of tickets** Choose how many tickets you would like in the upcoming draw. 3. **Choose your numbers** Choose your lucky numbers. 4. **Claim your winnings!** Claim your winning tickets by navigating to winning tickets tab of the lottery. Claiming is instant! ### How does the prize pool grow? Each week, 15% of the platform's NGR is added to the the prize pool. That NGR is added to specific tiers of the lottery set each week. Single ticket sales are also added to the same specific tiers, as tickets are sold. 85% of single ticket sales are added to the lottery on each sale. Prior to the upcoming draw users will be informed of the updated split to the tickets through official channels.\ \ To protect the lottery from negative NGR weeks, we may allocate slightly less from profitable weeks and divert that difference into an insurance fund. The purpose of the insurance fund is to smooth out the lottery experience for users. The insurance fund is structured as:\ • $2,000,000 USDC reserved for jackpot hits\ • $1,000,000 USDC reserved for negative NGR weeks During periods of higher implied volatility, the fund size may be increased. Once these additional reserves are no longer needed, they will be rolled back into the lottery in future drawings. All NGR added to the lottery is inclusive of negative carry over (NCO). ### How to Win You can win by matching your ticket numbers with the pulled numbers week to week. Each block in the blockchain is sequentially numbered, starting from zero (the genesis block). We use the Bitcoin Block number and Bitcoin Hash as a source of randomness for the lottery. By providing both the Block Number and the Hash we can have an unbiased source of randomness ### Bitcoin Hash The Bitcoin Hash is the cryptographic hash (specifically, the SHA-256 hash) of the Bitcoin block specified by the Block Number. It is a 64-character hexadecimal string that uniquely identifies the block. The Bitcoin Hash is combined with the Server Seed to create a final seed used for the random number generator. Because the hash cannot be known before the block is mined, it ensures that the lottery results cannot be predicted or influenced in advance. ### CSV Hash The CSV Hash is the SHA-256 cryptographic hash of the CSV file containing all the lottery participants or entries. It is a digital fingerprint of the file’s contents. The CSV Hash ensures that the list of participants is not altered after the hash is published. Any change in the CSV file would result in a different hash. Users can download the CSV file, compute its SHA-256 hash, and compare it with the provided CSV Hash to ensure the participant list hasn’t been tampered with. ### Server Seed The Server Seed is a secret random value generated by the lottery provider before the lottery draw. It is typically a long hexadecimal string. Users can use the Server Seed along with the Bitcoin Hash to independently generate the lottery results. ### Server Seed (Hashed) The Server Seed (hashed) is the SHA-256 hash of the Server Seed. It is published before the lottery draw takes place. Publishing the hashed Server Seed before the draw acts as a commitment to a specific Server Seed without revealing it. A user can select their lucky numbers and stake in the lotto anytime before the weekly lotto begins to calculate the prize. The lotto uses a provably fair system built on the Bitcoin blockchain. Depending on the numbers picked, a user can win up to **40%** of the total prize pool for a jackpot, where all numbers and powerball match. If a prize is not won, it gets jackpotted to the following week in the same prize tier. This means that the Jackpot is likely be a significant part of the prize pool by the time it is hit. Please note, that lottery staking is not wagering as the SHFL Lottery is 100% RTP.

Those tickets you selected with your staked SHFL will be entered into the lotto until you unstake them. If you choose to unstake, your tickets in the upcoming lottery will be **forfeited** and the SHFL staked in the lottery will be returned to you **after** the conclusion of the weekly lottery. You will not be able to receive your SHFL until **after** the conclusion of the current lotto if you choose to unstake. So how does this work in practice? #### Examples **Example 1**: Cam stakes 100 SHFL for 2 tickets one hour before the upcoming draw closes. He unstakes 10 minutes before the lottery draw closes. Cam unstaked before the lotto concluded, so none of his tickets were entered into the lottery and he will receive his SHFL after the lottery is concluded. **Example 2**: Tommy staked 200 SHFL for 4 tickets on Monday, in anticipation for entries to be closed on Friday. On Friday, Tommy is entered into the lotto with 4 tickets.\ \ **Example 3**: Ishan staked 1,000 SHFL 10 minutes before the draw for 20 tickets. On Friday, Ishan is entered with 50 tickets. 1 hour after the lotto concludes, Ishan chooses to unstake his SHFL. Ishan will receive his SHFL **after** the upcoming lotto and his current tickets will not be entered into the upcoming draw. Ishan can cancel his unstake at any point during the week and reenter into the lottery with their tickets. This creates a maximum possible penalty of **1 week** to receive your staked SHFL back. Once you select unstake, your tickets get entered into a pending state until the conclusion of the upcoming lottery. In this state, your tickets will not be eligible for the current lotto. The best way to play the SHFL Lottery is to stake your SHFL for the long term and build up your SHFL balance for more chances to win prizes. ### So what's changing? **SHFL is concluding its 15% non-SHFL NGR buyback, in favour of fueling the lottery prize pool**. The 30% SHFL NGR will remain and continue to burn away at the circulating supply of SHFL. The SHFL Foundation will no longer buyback on market week to week, but will continue the SHFL NGR burn. The 15% of non-SHFL NGR is added to the prize pool in the same split as the original prize tiers. \ \ **For example:** Assuming a beginning prize pool of If $1,000,000 of NGR is added to the prize pool, 40% of that would go to the Jackpot tier making the Jackpot for that week $400,000. If a previous week had a jackpot of $400,000, and that prize was jackpotted, the total jackpot prize would be $800,000.\ \ This means that SHFL that was previously on chain will have to stake to see the benefits of SHFL. ## A New Token Model for SHFL SHFL is entering a brand new world of tokenomics, and the lottery is the beginning of that new world. By having both staking and buyback and burn mechanisms, SHFL now has a completely unique model. The prize pool of the lottery pushes SHFL to be staked in the short term. In the long term, the circulating supply shrinks via the SHFL NGR Burn, creating a unique supply situation where both current float and future float are constrained. This creates a best of both worlds phenomenon for SHFL and pressure on both the short and long tail token supply.

SHFL will have both a Staking and Buyback Model

In the first iteration of the lottery, the prize pool remains locked at the previous weeks prize pool plus the weekly non-SHFL NGR. The initial prize pool will be seeded with 1,000,000 USD. Initially, SHFL will be the only asset that can be staked in the lottery. This creates the initial staking model for SHFL, which is described visually in the graph below.

### The Future Initially, the only way to play the SHFL Lottery will be by staking SHFL. In the future, every deposit currency on Shuffle will be able to play the lottery in the form of **Single Tickets**. Single Tickets will directly add to the lottery prize pool, allowing for the lotto to become reflexive as more tickets are purchased with non-SHFL assets. Single Tickets, unlike SHFL, will be only be valid for the current lotto rather than perpetually staked like SHFL. This ensures that SHFL is always the best way to play and win the lottery. With the introduction of Single Tickets, the model for the Lottery changes and becomes even more exciting week to week.

This model creates an effect we see in a traditional lottery, where as the prize pool grows, word of mouth spreads and the prize pool gets added to with new Single Ticket purchases. ### Airdrop 2 The SHFL Lottery is a good way to get an edge for Airdrop 2, coming December 14th.
